For the final version of the pulp cover parody for Hoverboy, I first created a logo by hand. In the 30’s and 40’s, of course, all the logos were created by hand and I just couldn’t get the right feel from computer lettering even when manipulated. So I knuckled down and whipped this up. Okay, I’m taking a little break from the storytelling workshop to throw in a little piece about some art I recently completed for inclusion in the Hoverboy one-shot comic, coming out from Mr. Comics in the spring. I want to show you the evolution of the piece from idea to final execution.
